Our Palette: Black and Yellow (Adorned w/ Gray and White)

We are less than a year out of time while we plan this whole "wedding" thing for January 2013. Honestly, our planning stage isn't going that well as I've been quite ill for the past weeks and Francis has remained busy with work. Thank God that Francis and I are not having any episodic drama that would further put the planning stage into more jeopardizing sitch than it already is at the moment.

To date, the reception has not yet been finalized but he and I are already targeting places within the Makati area. Definitely, Vinz and VJ Matias (P/V services) are on top of our list. Why? Well, frankly speaking, P/V is one of the most expensive musts in a wedding ceremony. The videos and photos will be the only ones available years after your big day (apart from your wedding ring) and they'll be the ones reminding you of that one special day. I'll definitely not miss having talented (yet affordable) artists on our wedding day.

One thing that's keeping my face from sulking is the fact and we're all set on the palette we'll be having for our day. Yes, people! We're all set on having a "black and yellow (adorned with gray and white) affair." Below are some inspirations for our selected motif:

The beautiful shades of gray and white are alluring and sophisticated.

The major palettes, on the contrary, are just stunning. The yellow hue gives out that lively vibe, which is set in contrast by the deep black hue--creating that magnanimous bright and playful energy.

Besides the colorful and amazing ambiance these colors give, I have a strong bias for these since they encompass the characteristics I have strong affinity with:

Yellow
They say yellow means jealousy and represents the radiance of the Sun. Bright and bursting. Thus, it's no longer a wonder that this color spells creativity, wit, positivity and clarity. With this hue, you are claiming your epicenter among others.

Black
Black is a whirlpool of depth. It is enigmatic and sensual. Black represents death and elegance. Both of these images are contrasting. Marriage, in its purest form, is a covenant (not just a union) that is bound to be the end and start of all other things. Pretty poetic if you'll ask me!

Gray
I would have to disagree with a lot of people in their saying that gray is pretty much dull and boring. To me, gray is fantastic! It is very conservative and mature. It does not look forced or coerced. The hue is a unique root grounding on its soil.

White
Of course, you cannot have a wedding without showcasing the purity of two love drunkards' passion. What's the essence of getting married and making vows of eternity if you do not have that stand on keeping the relationship trusting and faithful? Need I say more?

Oh these colors will definitely look fantastic. Now, we'll just have to keep everything in line with this unwavering choice of ours. 2012, please be better. *wink, wink*
