Pre-nup pictorials are probably one of the most exciting musts in each wedding planning stage. When couples announce their wedding plans to parties and friends, the engagement party comes along with it. This, however, is rarely practiced to date anymore (as well as other traditional wedding rites). Nonetheless, e-sessions have become more popular in recent times.
Photos are memoirs and we just wouldn't want to have ours imprinted for eternity. The only thing is that pre-nup shoots are not cheap. They are way over our budget.
Yes, they are quite expensive. Prepare to have at least 15k pesos to have a professional in your e-session. Francis and I are just not ready to splurge on such amount when the budget for the wedding itself is taking its toll on our loots. But we aren't going to give up. The solution: find affordable but quirky artists to take your photos.
Option A: Hire artists who pretty much charge a little less than 10k pesos. These guys are neophytes with nice portfolio to boast on. A penny for your thoughts: you'll also be paying for all the fees necessary to cover the location you will be opting for.
Option B: Look for artists who are trying to venture into the wedding photography thingy. These guys are probably even happier to have subjects for the shoot for their portfolio. Of course, this will be a little tricky as your foundation will be solely based on your faith and trust for that artist. Hence, seeking help from your photography enthusiastic friends will be very helpful.
Before, I have been fixated in getting OM or Nelwin Uy for the engagement shoot. I was very adamant in giving up this "idea" as it poses a serious frown-up scenario--wherein, I get to count how little we have to achieve the 2013 wedding ceremony we're eyeing on.
It's too frustrating for the most part, but as reality kicks in, you get to look for viable options. Options that will be suitable for you and your partner's needs. In our case, we're pretty much relying on Options A and B with our hearts filled with hope and eagerness.
